Detectives from the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad have charged a third person following a robbery in Rochester

 

Kent Police was called at about 9.15pm on 4 February 2021 to Mercury Close after the occupants of a property reported a robbery. Items including money and computer consoles were reported to have been stolen. Officers attended but the suspects had left the scene.

 

On the same day of the incident, officers stopped a car on the A2, near Bluewater and two people were arrested.

 

Mahei Ahmad, 29 from London was charged with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a Class B drug, driving a vehicle with no license and no insurance.

 

Mohammed Maow, 26, also from London was charged with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a Class B drug.

 

As part of the investigation on 8 February Thami Ngqobongwana, 28, Trafalgar Street, Gillingham, was charged with robbery. He appeared before Maidstone Crown Court on 9 February where he was remanded in custody.

 

All three men were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 8 March.
