Police have sealed off Parts of Plumstead High Street and surrounding roads following a stabbing.
All Transport for London Buses are currently being diverted through Kings Highway. A local primary is also within part of the cordon.
A205 Plumstead High Street is closed between Lakedale Road and Kentmere Road due to the incident. Drivers are being advised to use other routes and to expect long delays.
The closure is likely to be in place for a number of hours.
Witnesses in the high street are claiming that Police officer has been stabbed by man in the street. Following a fight between two men. We have contacted the Police for confirmation and the circumstances.

Metropolitan Police spokesman said:”

Detectives are appealing for information after a street fight in Greenwich.
Police were called to High Street, Plumstead at approximately 14:15hrs on Tuesday, 31 October to reports of a fight between three males in the street.
Officers attended and arrested two males on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. They were taken to a south police station where they currently remain.

One suspect remains outstanding.

Three officers sustained superficial cuts during the incident.
Detective Superintendent Lee Hill, said: “Detectives are now investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident and enquiries are underway to identify and locate the third suspect.
“My officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or can assist by providing footage or images that may have been captured at the scene.”
