Two teenagers stabbed in Croydon rushed to hospital

BREAKING – Two teenagers have been stabbed at a shopping centre in south London. Police and paramedics were called to the Whitgift Shopping Centre in Croydon earlier this evening. Both teens in hospital, extent of their injuries unknown

Police have issued the following:

The Metropolitan Police were called at 5.17pm on Friday (April 6) to reports of a male in his late teens or early 20s suffering stab injuries at the Whitgift Shopping Centre.

Met officers, London Ambulance Service (LAS) paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance all attended the town centre location.

On arrival emergency services found a second person had been stabbed at the shopping centre as well – a 16-year-old boy.

A Met Police spokesman said both were taken to hospital and police await an update as to their conditions.

Detectives from Croydon CID are investigating.
