Sixteen year old boy arrested for fatal Northolt stabbing

Detectives investigating the murder of 18-year-old Jason Isaacs in Northolt have made a further arrest.

A 16-year-old male was arrested at an address in Harrow this morning (Friday, 27 April) on suspicion of Jason’s murder. He remains in custody at a south London police station.

Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh of the Homicide and Major Crime Command leads the investigation – he said:

“The investigation into Jason’s murder remains ongoing and this latest arrest shows we are making progress to identify all those responsible for the attack.

“On Monday, 30 April a 17-year-old male will stand trial for Jason’s murder. However, there were others involved that night and my message is clear – you will be arrested and put before the courts to face the consequences of your actions.”

Jason was murdered following a brutal, premeditated attack in Newnham Close, Northolt at around 22:30hrs on Saturday, 18 November 2017 after a night out with his friends.

Two mopeds with pillion passengers were involved in the attack. Those passengers were not wearing helmets so would have stood out.

= There have been four previous arrests in this investigation:

A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of murder on 30 November – he has been charged with murder and will appear for trial at the Old Bailey on Monday, 30 April.

Three other males – An 18; 16 and 17 – have all been released with no further action.
