Four men have been arrested following a deadly stabbing in Leyton. The tragic incident unfolded just after midnight on Thursday, 23 April.
Police and the London Ambulance Service rushed to Saint George’s Road at around 12:40am after reports of a violent altercation. A 24-year-old man was found with stab wounds. Despite paramedics’ best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers detained four men aged between 22 and 25 nearby, all arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody as the investigation continues. The victim’s family has been informed and is receiving support from specially trained officers.
Chief Superintendent Rhona Hunt, head of Waltham Forest policing, said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones and everyone affected by this tragic incident. We recognise the concern this will cause in the community. While arrests have been made, we believe this is an isolated event. A strong police presence remains in the area as inquiries continue.”
She added: “The stabbing followed a major disturbance involving several people. We urge anyone with information to come forward.”
