Devon and Cornwall Police are conducting a murder investigation after a woman in her 30s was found dead at a property in Hollam Way, Kingsteignton, on the morning of Saturday 27 June 2026.

Emergency services were called at approximately 9:50am following welfare concerns. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

A 50-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of murder but has since been released on bail while inquiries continue.

Residents in the Kingsteignton area should expect an increased police presence as detectives work to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.

Police are appealing to the public for any information. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage is urged to come forward. Information can be submitted via the Devon and Cornwall Police website or by calling 101, quoting incident number 50260165831.
